Following in the wake of Crossfaith and One Ok Rock, another Japanese noise band is attracting plenty of attention outside their home country. Coldrain are a five-piece from Nagoya, who mix seething, screaming post-hardcore with more melodic interludes. Their numbers are already being used in popular anime series and games, and they have now been picked up by popular punk label Hopeless Records. Which comes as no surprise, as singer Masota has an American mother and sounds – like the rest of the band – really international. For fans of Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance.
